The 'Flex Developer Bootcamp' is in full swing in New York City, at AJAXWorld
Conference & Expo 2007 East, as SYS-CON Events presents the first in the 2007
series of this sellout one-day program of hands-on learning about Flex...not
by talking about it as much as by doing it.
With developers having traveled to New York's Roosevelt Hotel from as far
away as Texas, India and Canada, to take advantage of the "Learning by
Doing" approach that lies at the heart of the Bootcamp, the collective
concentration in the Roosevelt's packed Plaza Suite was almost tangible.
After an intense morning led by Yakov Fain, this afternoon Dr Victor
Rasputnis (pictured above) had attendees reading data SQL-Java-Flex, having
fun with customizing DataGrid controls, making their own Flex libraries,
updating Flex-Java-SQL, and learning how to support complex transactions.

Bridge (FABridge), it is a small, unobtrusive library of code that you can
insert into a Flex application, a Flex component, or even an empty SWF file
to expose it to scripting in the browser, according to Adobe.
Adobe says the bridge enables seamless integration of Flex applications with
vice versa, and complex types can be marshalled across seamlessly.

Web 2.0 News and Wrapping Up Real-World Ajax
It's been a busy, busy week indeed in the Web 2.0 and Ajax space. Never
mind the interesting discussions and news that came out this week on the Web,
I've been traveling and indeed will be traveling to various Web 2.0-related
events for the next week or so. Expect lots more coverage as I start to
